Dutch Lessons with Dutch of Course: Finding the Right Approach
Have you taken a Dutch course before but still feel that you haven't made the progress you expected?

Some of my students come to me after taking one or more Dutch courses elsewhere. They often tell me that they invested a lot of time and money, but didn't feel they were learning as much as they had hoped.
The reasons they mention are often similar: too many students, little opportunity to ask questions, not enough individual attention, lessons that were not adapted to different levels, or a teacher who seemed unmotivated.
Why Group Size Matters
Group courses can be a great way to learn Dutch. But when there are many students in a class, it can be difficult for a teacher to give everyone the attention they need.
You may need more practice with speaking, while another student needs help with grammar. Someone else may already understand the topic and be ready to move on.
In a large group, finding the right pace for everyone can be challenging.
What Makes Private Dutch Lessons Different?
With private Dutch lessons, the lesson is focused entirely on you.
Your level, goals and learning needs determine what we work on.
Maybe you understand Dutch but find speaking difficult. Perhaps you want to improve your pronunciation, grammar or vocabulary. Or maybe you simply want to become more confident in everyday conversations.
If something isn't clear, you can ask questions immediately. If you need more practice, we can spend more time on it.
The lesson adapts to you — not the other way around.
Online Dutch Lessons
Private lessons are also available online.
Online Dutch lessons are a flexible option if you prefer to learn from home, have a busy schedule or live outside the local area.
You still get personalised lessons, individual feedback and plenty of opportunity to practise speaking — without having to travel.
In-Company Dutch Training
For companies, I offer in-company Dutch training in small groups.
Employees can learn Dutch together at their workplace while still receiving plenty of personal attention. The training can be adapted to the participants' level and professional needs.
Instead of learning general Dutch that may not be relevant to their work, we can focus on vocabulary, conversations and situations employees actually encounter in their daily working environment.
Small groups also give employees more opportunity to ask questions, practise speaking and receive individual feedback.

Private lessons usually cost more per lesson than a large group course. But the price of one lesson isn't the whole story.
If you spend months in a course that doesn't suit your level or learning needs, you may eventually decide to try a different approach anyway.
